Importing Reviews From Spreadsheet
Easily import reviews gathered from previous platforms using our Review Import Template.
This guide will walk you through the steps to import reviews into Dropstars using the template and how to structure your review data to ensure compatibility with the required format.
Steps to Upload Your Reviews Using the Dropstars Review Import Template
Navigate to the “Reviews-> Import review” menu and click on “Import from a spreadsheet” section.
- Click on Copy DropStars template
- Click on Make a copy to edit template.
- Enter your review details following the template file’s format.
- Save your completed Review Import Template as a CSV file.
- Click on “Upload template file” and choose the CSV file you just saved.
After the import process is complete, your reviews will be displayed in the “Manage Reviews” menu.
Below are the format requirements for the Review Import Template file:
- rating (Required): Must be a whole number (1, 2, 3, 4, or 5). Example: 5.
- status (Required): Must be one of the following values: publish, unpublish, or pending. Example: publish.
- date (Required): The date the review was submitted, formatted as YYYY-MM-DD. Example: 2020-01-09.
- display_name (Required): The name of the reviewer. This will appear exactly as entered. Example: john d.
- email (Required): The email address of the reviewer.
- review_description (Required): The text of the review. All reviews must include text.
- product_handle (Required): The product handle is the last part of the product URL (after /products/). For instance, in the URL store.com/products/blue-t-shirt, the handle is blue-t-shirt.
- verified_purchase (Optional): Enter “TRUE” to include a “Verified Purchase” label on the review. Leave this cell blank if you do not want the review to display this label.
- reply_text (Optional): Text of any reply to the review.
- reply_date (Optional): The date of the reply.
- review_documents (Optional): A public URL for the review’s image. If there are multiple photos, list all image URLs separated by commas in this column, supported file format is : .jpg/.jpeg/.png.
